TACDRUP
is a Philippine-based non-profit foundation put
up by a group of social development workers in
June 1980. As one of the pioneering social development
non-government organizations in Southern Philippines,
TACDRUP committed to pursue structural change
and to facilitate the laying down of a mechanism
for people’s active participation in sustainable
development and responsible governance.
TACDRUP is committed to advance its Mindanao development
agenda into two (2) major themes: Food Security
and Environmental Protection, and Dialogue for
Peace and Participatory Governance.
Concrete action and installation are done through
direct community organizing of farmers, indigenous
people, muslim people, people’s organizations
and cooperatives and women-led initiatives in
three (3) key food and water resource areas
of Mindanao namely; Mt. Apo watershed areas
of Davao City, rice and sugarcane areas of Davao
del Sur, and the Liguasan Marsh basin of North
Cotabato.
Partnership building includes networking with
civil societies, with the goal of forging common
peace and development agenda for Mindanao.
Philosophy
Our
social development philosophy is founded in
the basic Christian doctrines of believing in
God and caring for creation. This philosophy
is expressed in the following principles: Accountability
for the Integrity of Creation; Participatory
Development; Social Justice; and Solidarity
and Cooperation. (Download TACDRUP Brochure)
